Q: HOW DO I GET AN APPLICATION FOR THE PAPA JOHN’S SCHOLARS PROGRAM?

A: Applications are available online and at high school counselors' offices in December. We will not mail, fax or email applications to anyone other than guidance counselors at the school's street address or the school’s fax number. YOU MAY NOT USE AN APPLICATION FROM A PRIOR YEAR OR AN APPLICATION FROM ANOTHER HIGH SCHOOL. Seniors must go to their high school counseling office in December to find out if their high school is in the scholarship program and to request an application.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: WHEN ARE APPLICATIONS DUE?

A: By the application deadline set by their guidance office, students must submit their completed application to their guidance counselor so that the counselor can confirm the content and details of the application and complete the counselor's section and mail all applications from their school in one package.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: CAN THE PAPA JOHN’S SCHOLARS ADMINISTRATOR VERIFY RECEIVING MY APPLICATION?

A: We process thousands of applications each year.  Due to the volume we do not confirm the receipt of every application.  However, if the counselor includes an acknowledgment card in their envelope of applications, we will return that card to the counselor confirming receipt of the school's applications.  Check with your guidance counselor to see if they included the acknowledgement card.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: WILL EVERY APPLICANT BE NOTIFIED OF THEIR FINAL STATUS?

A: Applicants who are not selected to receive a scholarship will not be notified.  The individuals who will be awarded a scholarship will be notified by the end of the school year.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: WHO SELECTS THE SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS?

A: The Scholars Administrator assembles a reading committee consisting of retired school teachers and guidance counselors who will consider the following when selecting scholarship winners from those students nominated: creative ability; community involvement; academic achievement; meaningful objectives achieved; life goals and interests; obstacles overcome; demonstrated leadership; quality of character; athletic achievement.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: HOW WILL SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS BE DISTRIBUTED TO WINNERS?

A: Claims processing instructions will be presented to the student when they are notified that they have won a scholarship.
